Man Says His Asbestos Exposure Resulted in Wife’s Death
A man is suing three companies for allegedly causing her wife’s death by indirectly exposing her to toxic asbestos fibers.
On behalf of the estate of Yolande Marceaux, Willis Marceaux has filed a lawsuit against Atlantic Richfield, Chevron USA and Oxy USA on June 28 in Jefferson County District Court.
The complaint says that Yolande was exposed to asbestos through her husband’s clothing during his employment as a pipefitter, boilermaker and carpenter.
The dates of Willis Marceaux’s employment are not specified in the lawsuit.
Mareceaux argues that the defendants failed to warn him of the hazards of asbestos dust on clothing. He is seeking exemplary damages.
Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, will preside over the case.
