- Resolved Question: My best friends mom is dying!!!?
She has had cancer for almost a year, mesothelioma, she doesn't have much longer to live, my mom told me she talked to my friends dad, he said that. Today my friend had a huge panic attack and was shaking and screaming and all I did was hold her hand which she squeezed tightly nd sobbed, on my lap, 2 other of her close friends were there trying to talk to her but it seemed to make her more upset idk if I did the right thing today, but then we got her calmed down, and brought her outside for some fresh air and she was much better, before the other 2 girls came with me to help her, she and I were alone in the hallway where I found her on the floor with her face down, she was all limp, but awake and had a blank expression, I asked her how are you feeling? And put my arms around her and started standing her up and we slowly walked to the counsel ours office, and she replied very slowly like in a trance "i feel...confused.....I'm mad.....I'm sad......." once we got to the consolers office I pulled out a chair for her and she sat, and we drew some pictures for a few minutes, she just had a blank expression on her face and after a while layed her head on the table, then she started getting strangely happy and ran out of the office into the bathroom I chased her and she ran out of bathroom back to the office, slammed the door and sat down in front of it so I couldn't open it and started sobbing and banging her head on something, I couldn't open the door ingot 2 others girls that we are all very close, by the time I got back from getting them we found her on her face on the floor under the desk sobbing hard and shaking and sweating and crying and screaming, I was so shocked and overhw helmed I've never seen her anything but strong, and I held her hand like I said, so after a couple hours we managed to calm her down by rubbing her back and holding her. Once she found her voice again she got berry worried and begged us not to. Tell her parents because she didn't want her mom to get upset, and she kept murdering she didn't want to go back home she didn't want to go to the nurse, I have told my mom and made her swear not to tell her parent,s I have decided to talk to the other girls and all together go tak to the counselor and ask her to tell my friends parents because I don't want her to hurt herself, I think that is best for her. Anyways when I told my mom everything she told me that my friends mom doesn't have much longer, the treatments aren't working and it's almost been a year which is all they said it would be. I am so nervous and scared and I know it's a not my mom but she is my best friend in the whole world nd I love her so much it hurts me so much to see her hurting so badly. I need advice of what I can do for her when the time comes, lately as it is getting nearer, she is pushing away and trying to be alone, when her mom was first diagnosed she told me and on,y me no one welsh that she had suicidal thoughts , I have kept that a secret until today I told my mom I broke down and told her everything she said she didn't know what to do, I need to know what is going to happen when her mom dies, should I be in the hospital with her, when she breaks down she has been violent and squeezes things hard and looks for pens or pencil to break and kick things, she is very angry and keeps it all bottled up inside, I don't know what to for her because envy time I try to breach the subject she laughs it off and sayd not to worry but I do and I am, what are the stages of grieving sh Weill go through? Me and the other girls all spend time with her on weekends and stuff she is rarely alone, but I really don't know what to do and have no one to turn to, I don't want her mom to die she is like my mom in a way I've known since I was 4 I just need advice and I know everyone says "listen" but she won't talk all she does is sob, should I let her cry or try to get her mind off of it, also if she has another attack like to what should I do to make her feel better? Thank you so much I am so grateful if you rea this whole thing I am sorry we are all just 13 and I am so lost I don't now what to do she always comes to me when something has happened with her mom, the first day of radiation she calls me, and same with every other milestone, anyways thank you so much and of you went through a parent dying please tell me what you wanted your friends to do at the time, if you are in the same situation as me please tell me what you did or wish you did I really need advice, thank you so much

- Resolved Question: White cell count... help!?
Is it possible to still be cancer if the blood count is completely normal? Everything is pointing to Mesothelioma except the blood count is normal. We get the results on Tuesday, but that seems like a light-year away!
- Resolved Question: Plueral Mesothelioma or hope for something else?
My father in-law is 56yrs old. He was a construction worker full time and a fire fighter part time. A few months back it started with shortness of breath and tightness/ heaviness in his chest. He went to the dr. they gave him an inhaler and sent him on his way. A few days later he fainted from lack of oxygen. Then hospitalized. They found a mass in each of his lungs. They appear to be pressing upon his lymph nodes which appear to be inflamed as well. They sent him home with prednisone and yet another inhaler. They wanted him to see a specialist and have another test done when his "flare up" was gone. Well he hasn't gotten better only worse! He was in the hospital for the 5th time in 2 months yesterday. When he arrived his oxygen was at 60% the breathing treatment brought him to 72%. He is now coughing up small amounts of blood. The tech that was capturing his images asked many questions about him working with asbestos (which he has). So now naturally we are all concerned that he may have pleural mesothelioma. He does see the specialist on Tuesday. The thing that has me stumped is that his blood count was normal. Arent the white cells supposed to be elevated?
- Resolved Question: True or False...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
Hello, my name is Doug...and I'm the face of Mesothelioma.
- Resolved Question: Is pleurisy dangeous?
Pleurisy: Pleurisy refers to the inflammation of the lining of the cavity surrounding the lungs. It is also known as pleuritis. A viral infection is one of the most common causes of pleurisy, but it can also be caused due to a rib injury, formation of blood clot in the lungs, lung cancer, mesothelioma or autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis or lupus. The primary symptoms of this condition include acute chest pains when breathing and coughing. A person suffering from pleurisy is most likely to experience chest pain when deep breathing. Other symptoms include shortness of breath, fever, chills and dry cough. Though one may experience a sharp stabbing pain in the chest region, pleurisy could even cause a dull chest pain that may be accompanied by a burning sensation. I have a sore throat and coughing, a fever, and sharp chest pains wen i breathe but the sore throats been here for days and im just not getting the chest pain, although it might be a pumlinary embelism, as i have been lying in bed literally all day
- Resolved Question: With All Due Respect Poll: Can all sufferers of mesothelioma make endless commercials like Doug?
As I type this, I just heard yet another commercial featuring that normal looking middle-aged guy named Doug telling us about mesothelioma. I do a lot of channel surfing when commercials are on, yet I still see Doug walking around the hospital several times a week. Again, NOT making light of mesothelioma, but I have never even heard of any one in my area having this disease. Is it so pervasive they have to advertise multiple times a day? Thanks.
- Resolved Question: Are there long-term side effects from treatment for cancers like mesothelioma?
- Resolved Question: What Is Mesothelioma Cancer?
- Resolved Question: Grief websites for young adults?
I am 25 and my father has mesothelioma and is in hospice. I am having a very hard time dealing with it and it is just my mother and I as far as family goes. My fiance is supportive but I feel like it's too much for him to comfort me all the time. My friends have stepped down and are, I guess, ignoring the fact that this is happening to me. I would like to email or have a support group about young adults who have gone through the same thing as I am going through!! I am not a teen, but I am not old enough to just "deal with it" yet....

Important facts on mesothelioma and asbestos exposure. Please share this content. - Mesothelioma Cancer
McDiaSocial posted a photo:
Mesothelioma is a very rare and deadly form of cancer which is caused by exposure to asbestos. Asbestos fibers can be inhaled or swallowed and become embedded in the cells that line the lungs, heart, and abdominal organs, known as the mesothelium. This causes the development of cancerous cells which multiply at a much faster rate than healthy cells, forming tumors that put pressure on the affected organs and cause mesothelioma symptoms.

We understand that choosing a mesothelioma law firm is a very important and highly personal decision. With so many law firms advertising on the Internet, television, and radio, how do you know which is the right firm for you? It is important for you to know that many larger firms refer mesothelioma claims out to other lawyers, having very little to do with their clients at any point in the legal process. At Shrader & Associates, LLP, we take the time to listen to each of our clients’ stories, selecting the right member of our team to guide them through the legal process from beginning to end.
